Istanbul, die faszinierende Metropole am Bosporus, ist eine Oase kultureller Vielfalt und architektonischer Pracht. Bei meinem spontanen Trip dorthin Ende Februar/Anfang März 2024 konnte ich hautnah erleben, wie die reiche Geschichte der Stadt sich in ihrer Graffitiszene widerspiegelt.
Die bunten Straßen von Istanbul sind ein Kaleidoskop aus verschiedenen Einflüssen, die von der Tradition bis zur Moderne reichen. Die Stadt ist bekannt für ihre historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Hagia Sophia, den Topkapi-Palast und den Großen Basar, aber auch für ihre lebendige Atmosphäre und das geschäftige Treiben entlang des Bosporus.
Doch neben all diesen Attraktionen lohnt es sich, auch einen Blick auf die weniger offensichtlichen, aber nicht weniger faszinierenden Aspekte der Stadt zu werfen – ihre Graffitiszene. Istanbul ist die Heimat einer blühenden Community von Straßenkünstlern, die die Wände der Stadt mit ihren kreativen Werken schmücken.
In meiner ersten Bildergalerie dieser Reise präsentiere ich eine Auswahl an Trains, die ich während meines Aufenthalts in Istanbul entdeckt habe. Von Chrom bishin zu full color Panaels zeigen diese Bilder die Vielfalt und das Talent der lokalen Graffitikünstler.
Istanbul pulsiert vor Leben, und die Graffitis, die ihre Straßen und Metros schmücken, sind ein lebendiger Ausdruck dieser pulsierenden Energie. Mit meiner Bildergalerie möchte ich einen Einblick in die bunte Welt der Graffitikunst in Istanbul geben und gleichzeitig die Schönheit und Vielfalt dieser faszinierenden Stadt feiern. Istanbul, the fascinating metropolis on the Bosphorus, is an oasis of cultural diversity and architectural splendour. During my spontaneous trip there at the end of February/beginning of March 2024, I was able to experience first-hand how the city’s rich history is reflected in its graffiti scene.
The colourful streets of Istanbul are a kaleidoscope of different influences, ranging from the traditional to the modern. The city is known for its historical sights such as the Hagia Sophia, the Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar, but also for its lively atmosphere and the hustle and bustle along the Bosphorus.
But alongside all these attractions, it is also worth taking a look at the less obvious but no less fascinating aspects of the city – its graffiti scene. Istanbul is home to a thriving community of street artists who adorn the city’s walls with their creative works.
In my first picture gallery of this trip, I present a selection of trails that I discovered during my stay in Istanbul. From chrome to full colour panels, these images show the diversity and talent of the local graffiti artists.
Istanbul pulsates with life, and the graffiti that adorns its streets and metros is a vivid expression of this vibrant energy. With my picture gallery, I want to give an insight into the colourful world of graffiti art in Istanbul and at the same time celebrate the beauty and diversity of this fascinating city.
