Im Januar 2022 zog es mich erneut über den großen Teich, diesmal in die pulsierende Metropole New York City. Mein Quartier fand ich im kreativen Viertel Jamaica, Queens, doch der wahre Höhepunkt dieses Ausflugs lag im Herzen von Brooklyn: Bushwick. Dieses Viertel atmet Kunst und Kreativität auf eine Weise, die kaum zu übertreffen ist.
Mein Fokus lag besonders auf Bushwick, einem Viertel, das eine unglaublich kreative Ader besitzt. Hier findet jedes Jahr die Bushwick Collective Block Party statt, ein farbenfrohes Spektakel, bei dem das gesamte Viertel von talentierten Künstlern neu gestaltet wird. Die Straßen werden zu Leinwänden, auf denen sich die lebendige Energie und die künstlerische Vielfalt dieser Stadt manifestieren.

In January 2022, I was drawn across the pond again, this time to the vibrant metropolis of New York City. I found my quarters in the creative neighborhood of Jamaica, Queens, but the real highlight of this trip was in the heart of Brooklyn: Bushwick. This neighborhood breathes art and creativity in a way that is hard to beat.
My focus was particularly on Bushwick, a neighborhood that has an incredibly creative streak. Here, every year, the Bushwick Collective Block Party takes place, a colorful spectacle in which the entire neighborhood is reimagined by talented artists. The streets become canvases on which the vibrant energy and artistic diversity of this city manifest themselves.
