Insbesondere in der Hauptstadt Kuah hat sich diese Kunstform in den letzten Jahren zu einem wichtigen kulturellen Element entwickelt. Im Oktober 2023 fand dort das beeindruckende Meeting of Styles statt, bei dem einige der besten Graffiti-Künstler aus aller Welt zusammenkamen, um die Wände eines verlassenen Krankenhauses in einem kreativen Farbrausch neu zu gestalten.
Das Meeting of Styles, ein internationales Graffiti-Festival, hat Kuah in eine lebendige Galerie verwandelt. Die Straßen und Wände des Stadtzentrums wurden zu einer Leinwand für eine Vielzahl von Stilen, Techniken und Botschaften. The island of Langkawi, one of Malaysia’s jewels, is not only known for its breathtaking nature, but also for its up-and-coming street art and graffiti scene. In the capital Kuah in particular, this art form has developed into an important cultural element in recent years. In October 2023, the impressive Meeting of Styles took place there, bringing together some of the best graffiti artists from around the world to redesign the walls of an abandoned hospital in a creative frenzy of color.
The Meeting of Styles, an international graffiti festival, has transformed Kuah into a vibrant gallery. The streets and walls of the city center became a canvas for a variety of styles, techniques and messages.
